Basilica of San Vicinio

In the central Piazza Plauto, in Sarsina (ancient Roman Municipality dating back to 266 BC), it is possible to visit the thousand-year-old Romanesque basilica where the remains of Saint Vicinius, the first bishop and protector of the Plautine city, are kept. The Saint’s chain is famous and is worn every year by tens of thousands of faithful who invoke its protection against evil.
