Going up the Savio valley you reach Mount Fumaiolo (1407 metres above sea level) from whose slopes three very important rivers originate: the Savio and the Marecchia which flow into the Adriatic and the Tiber which bathes Rome and flows into the Tyrrhenian Sea. An ideal place for excursions among high-altitude pastures, pine forests and beech forests. Nearby is the sacred hermitage of Sant’Alberico.
